Flying Fox's

I remember seeing these when we were in Australia ... still one of the best parts of our visit! Didn't know what they were at first ... it was evening and the whole colony was taking off into the sky .... couldn't figure out what kind of bird fly in the dark in such a large group and then realized that it wasn't birds at all. The waiter at the restaurant told us where they slept so the next day we went to see them! What an experience (and you are right about the smell)
