One of those big nasty summer hail storms coming in to do a number on the countryside.
Taken from the hill at Bangalow cemetery.
The tall central trees are Norfolk Island Pines.
Two minutes later all hell broke loose!

Wow was this one of those two big hail storms that hit us a couple of years back?
I was at the uni for the first one and it was freakin awesome! The second one, a few weeks later, I happened to be in Lismore again, cowering in a shop downtown, but the storm changed course. I think that was the one that blew away Dunoon school.
Growing up our parents used to put us all to bed under the big wooden farmhouse table when the dark green storm clouds like this would come roilling over the hills. Quite a few years back I got caught in a severe one out at Maclean's Ridges and thought I was going to die. I just stopped the car, put the Rolling Stones cassette on Volume 10 and closed my eyes.
